Toastmasters International has helped millions of adults around the world become better speakers and leaders — but communication skills aren’t just for grown-ups. That’s why we’re excited to announce that we're hosting a Toastmasters-style speech competition just for kids!

If you're a parent or educator, this is a fantastic opportunity to help young people step into their confidence, strengthen their voice, and learn skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
🌱 Why Public Speaking for Kids?
Communication is more than just talking — it’s how we share ideas, solve problems, and make an impact. When kids learn to express themselves early on, they gain:
📌 Confidence in social and academic settings
📌 The ability to organize and present thoughts clearly
📌 Skills for interviews, leadership, and future careers
📌 A safe space to develop emotional intelligence and creativity
This speech competition is designed to nurture those skills in a positive, age-appropriate environment.
🗣️ What Is Toastmasters?
Toastmasters International is a worldwide nonprofit that helps people improve their public speaking and leadership abilities. In adult clubs, members practice giving prepared speeches, speaking off the cuff, and providing constructive feedback — and now we’re adapting that experience for younger participants.
🏆 About the Kids’ Speech Competition
Our upcoming youth competition will introduce students to the magic of the Toastmasters format in a fun and encouraging way. Participants will:
Prepare and deliver short speeches on topics they care about
Practice impromptu speaking through quick-thinking challenges
Learn how to give and receive positive, helpful feedback
Build confidence by speaking in front of an audience
No prior experience is needed — just a willingness to try something new!
🎯 Why Parents Should Get Involved
As a parent, you want your child to feel empowered, articulate, and ready for the future. This event offers all of that and more. It’s not about being perfect — it’s about learning to speak up, think critically, and grow in a supportive community.
Whether your child is a natural talker or a quiet thinker, they’ll come away with valuable skills that will benefit them in school, friendships, and beyond.
